PORTRAITS BY ANSELM

People and their Stories

Portraits by Anselm is a bilingual (German and English) interview and portrait photography series about the lives people actually live — beyond the public self, beyond the version we rehearse for the world.

Each guest sits for three things: an interview, a portrait photograph — and a drawing. They are asked to sketch themselves. Without instruction. Without judgment.

Together, they form a portrait of a human life — like no other.

Because a story needs neither title nor profession to be worth hearing.

Anselm — photographer, artist, and creative director — asks the questions that usually remain unasked. And stays long enough for something true to become visible.
